How to Create a Document in Amwork

Adding Templates

To create a document in Amwork, you need to set up a template using a DOCX file.

Steps to set up the template:

  1. Insert system values into the template to pull data from entity or card fields.
    • You can find these system values in Settings → Documents by clicking on the document creation fields.
    • The system values must be inserted exactly as they appear without modifications.
  2. Once the template is ready, upload the DOCX file to Amwork.
  3. Grant access:
    • Assign the document template to the appropriate Amwork section.
    • Allow specific users to create documents based on this template.                                                      
  4. After uploading, the template will be available in the entity card under the “Create Documents” tab.

How to Set Up an Invoice or a Commercial Proposal in Amwork

To set up an invoice or a commercial proposal, you need to use data from the order table, which is generated in the deal card or any other card linked to the Inventory Management module.

You can copy this table in Amwork settings under the “Document Creation Fields” section.

For certain field values, you can use the “Words” function to convert numerical values into their written form. To do this:

  1. Click on the “Words” icon.
  2. Select the desired language.
  3. Copy the modified field value.

After this, the number will be displayed in the document as a written-out word.
